Discrimination Policy

The following language applies to hotels and vacation rentals booked on any Expedia Group brand sites.

We believe that Travel is a Force for Good. Discriminatory behavior runs counter to our corporate ideals and the foundations of our marketplace. If Expedia Group (EG) is made aware of a possible discriminatory action, we will investigate to take appropriate action including termination of the bad actor from the platform and its use.

What we do allow:

  • Partners setting rules or limitations of rental that are transparent and applicable to all travelers.
  • Limitations or rules based on local law.
  • Statements made to enforce permissible and reasonable house rules, rental agreement, or other terms set by the partner.
  • General or reasonable disagreements not based on any individual’s race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or accessibility needs.

What we do NOT allow

  • An act, statement, policy, or behavior that prohibits or limits an individual from enjoying the same benefits as everyone else.
  • Sub-standard service, veiled statements, or mistreatment of individuals based on their race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or accessibility needs.
  • Intimidation of an individual through verbal abuse, hostility, or threats.

Expedia Group recognizes that certain jurisdictions allow or require some distinctions based on individual identities such as national origin, gender, marital status, or sexual orientation and will not require its users to violate local laws or take action that may result in legal liability.
